WatchGuard Technologies builds network security appliances, secure Wi-Fi, multi-factor authentication, and endpoint security for distributed enterprises and small and midsize businesses, sold primarily through certified resellers and managed service providers. Founded in 1996, the company serves more than 250,000 customers through a channel of over 17,000 partners. WatchGuard is majority-owned by private equity firm Vector Capital, which took control in 2022.
