Sysdig builds a runtime-powered cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) that unifies vulnerability management, cloud security posture management, and workload protection on a foundation of the open source Falco project. Founded in 2013 by Loris Degioanni, creator of Wireshark, the company sells to cloud-native enterprises and serves more than 60% of the Fortune 500. Sysdig reached a $2.5 billion valuation in December 2021 after raising $745 million from investors including Permira, Accel, Bain Capital Ventures, and Insight Partners.
