KnowBe4 is a security awareness training and email security vendor built around a human risk management platform that combines simulated phishing, training, and behavioral coaching for enterprises and managed service providers. Founded in Clearwater, Florida in 2010, the company entered email security through its July 2024 acquisition of London-based Egress, now offered as KnowBe4 Cloud Email Security. KnowBe4 was taken private by Vista Equity Partners in a $4.6 billion all-cash transaction completed in February 2023.
