Keep Aware

Keep Aware is a browser security specialist whose lightweight extension runs inside employees' existing browsers to detect and stop phishing, credential theft, malicious extensions, generative AI data leakage, and other browser-based threats at the point of click, without proxying or decrypting traffic. It takes a human-centric approach, analyzing how users interact with web content to catch social-engineering attacks that network and endpoint tools miss, and sells to mid-market and enterprise organizations. Founded in 2022 by Ryan Boerner and headquartered in Austin, Texas, the seed-stage company raised $2.4 million led by LiveOak Venture Partners, with participation from Runtime Ventures and security-industry angels including former Zscaler CISO Michael Sutton and SpyCloud co-founder David Endler.
