Immuta builds a data security platform that governs and provisions access to data across cloud platforms for enterprises, healthcare organizations, and government agencies. Founded in 2015 by former U.S. Army intelligence officer Matthew Carroll together with Steve Touw, the company centers on attribute-based access control that enforces data policies natively in systems such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Starburst. It has raised more than 267 million dollars in venture funding and is backed by strategic investors including Snowflake and Databricks Ventures, counting Fortune 500 firms across financial services, healthcare, and technology among its customers.
