Guardsquare builds a mobile application security platform combining code hardening, Runtime Application Self-Protection (RASP), security testing, and runtime threat monitoring for Android and iOS. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, the company serves financial services institutions, healthcare organizations, and gaming enterprises requiring protection for user data, in-app transactions, and proprietary code. Backed by Battery Ventures, Guardsquare also maintains ProGuard, a widely used open-source Java bytecode optimizer for the Android development ecosystem.
