Echo builds CVE-free open source artifacts for cloud-native infrastructure, including container images, language libraries, OS packages, Helm charts, virtual machines, and serverless runtimes. The company uses AI agents to rebuild software from source with only essential components while preserving Debian compatibility, targeting enterprises and regulated federal environments that need FIPS-validated and STIG-hardened images. Founded in 2025 by the founders of Argon (acquired by Aqua Security), Echo operates as a CVE Numbering Authority, serves customers including Varonis, EDB, UiPath, Vectra AI, and Port, and has raised more than $50M from investors including N47, Notable Capital, Hyperwise Ventures, and SentinelOne's S Ventures. In August 2026 Echo acquired the technology and research assets of hardened-image competitor Minimus, whose registry retires in October 2026.
