CrowdSec builds a crowdsourced cyberthreat intelligence (CTI) network powered by an open-source, MIT-licensed detection engine that users deploy to report attacker IP addresses into a shared pool. Co-founded in 2020 by Philippe Humeau and Thibault Koechlin, veterans of high-security web hosting, the French company turns that collective signal into IP reputation data and blocklists for security teams, managed service providers, and infrastructure operators. It raised a 14 million euro Series A in 2022, and its contributor network now spans more than 190 countries.
