Aembit

Aembit is an independent, venture-backed identity company founded in 2021 and based in Silver Spring, Maryland. It builds identity and access management for non-human identities, giving software workloads and AI agents cryptographically verifiable identities and short-lived, policy-based access to the applications, cloud services, databases, and APIs they depend on, without storing long-lived secrets. The company was founded by David Goldschlag (CEO), a co-inventor of onion routing, and Kevin Sapp (CTO), who previously built zero trust network access at New Edge Labs before its 2019 acquisition by Netskope. Aembit has raised more than 40 million dollars in venture funding, including a 25 million dollar Series A.
