ActiveState is a software supply chain security vendor that compiles open source components from original source code and delivers them as vetted, continuously remediated private catalogs for enterprise development teams. Founded in Vancouver in 1997 to bring open source languages to the enterprise, the company today curates 79 million components across 12 language ecosystems. ActiveState has been owned by the private equity firm Vertu Capital since November 2023 and serves enterprises including Barclays, Moody's, Siemens, and Druva.
