Netacea Bot Protection
Server-side, agentless bot and agent trust management for websites, apps, and APIs.
Netacea Bot Protection Overview
What it does
Netacea Bot Protection is a bot and agent trust management platform that identifies, verifies, and governs automated traffic across websites, mobile apps, and APIs. Unlike client-side tools, it detects bots entirely server-side through a single agentless integration at the edge, keeping protection invisible to attackers. At its core, Talos is a fifth-generation intent-detection engine that learns in real time what malicious intent looks like and adapts to each customer's traffic, separating harmful bots from genuine users, sanctioned agents, and generative-AI crawlers.
How it works
The platform plugs natively into the content delivery networks, web application firewalls, and load balancers an organization already runs, so no agent or client-side code is deployed. Talos analyzes billions of requests using machine learning models, historical attack data, and threat intelligence, scoring intent server-side at sub-second latency. Detected automation is mitigated autonomously without manual rule updates, while granular real-time analytics stream to SOC teams via SIEM, SOAR, and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platforms. Coverage spans account takeover, credential stuffing, card cracking, scalping, and web and generative-AI scraping from one integration.
Credentials and traction
Netacea Bot Protection is named a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave: Bot and Agent Trust Management Software, Q2 2026, cited for transaction assurance and web scraping use cases. The platform carries SOC 2 Type II and holds a 4.6 rating on G2. It protects enterprise media and streaming services, publishers, retail and eCommerce brands, telecommunications operators, and gaming publishers, with customers split across North America and EMEA.
Key Capabilities
mapped to solution categoriesDetects automation through layered client-side and server-side detection models - behavioral, device, network, and challenge signals - resilient to AI-driven evasion and CAPTCHA-solving services.
Determines and surfaces the intent behind automated traffic - distinguishing malicious bots, benign automation, LLM crawlers, and human-delegated AI agents - so policy decisions rest on what the traffic is trying to do, not only whether it is automated.
Protects account creation, login, and session flows against credential stuffing, account takeover, and fake-account abuse, building per-account trust from user, device, and session signals.
Protects high-value transaction flows (checkout, payments, hype sales, registrations) from automated abuse while prioritizing legitimate human and agent-delegated transactions.
Detects and governs content scraping, including LLM training and retrieval crawlers: blocking value-damaging scrapers while permitting or monetizing sanctioned automated access.
Establishes and manages trusted relationships with legitimate AI agents: an out-of-the-box library of known agents plus granular per-agent permissions and policies governing what each agent may access and do.
