Data Security that Works Platform
Enterprise DLP platform securing data across network, endpoint, cloud, and generative AI channels.
Data Security that Works Platform Overview
What it does
The Data Security that Works Platform is an enterprise data loss prevention (DLP) suite that discovers, classifies, monitors, and blocks sensitive data movement across networks, endpoints, cloud applications, and generative AI tools. Its core mechanism is AccuMatch, GTB's patented content fingerprinting and Exact Data Match (EDM) detection engine, which inspects structured and unstructured content in real time and is designed to hold false positive and false negative rates near zero.
How it works
The platform combines several modules under the GTB Central Console. GTB Inspector, a Content-Aware Reverse Firewall at the network edge, inspects inbound and outbound transmissions across all ports and protocols and can log, encrypt, quarantine, or block violations. GTB Endpoint Protect, an agent for Windows, macOS, and Linux, controls removable media, clipboard, print, and application transfers with offline policies. Data Discovery with automatic classification scans Exchange, SharePoint, file shares, and cloud storage, and the GTB Auditor monitors file activity for insider risk. Detection uses fingerprints, Exact Data Match, tags, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), with events forwarded to SIEM platforms.
Credentials and traction
GTB Technologies was listed as a notable vendor in Forrester's The Data Security Platforms Landscape, Q4 2024, and Enterprise Security Magazine named the company Enterprise Data Security Solution of the Year 2026. Endpoint and discovery modules carry OPSWAT certification. A data loss prevention (DLP) pure-play privately held since 2004, GTB serves large enterprises, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and government agencies, selling directly and through managed service and MSSP partners. The company holds a SOC 2 Type II attestation covering its platform and makes a SOC 3 summary report available on request.
Key Capabilities
mapped to solution categoriesInspects outbound network traffic (email, web, SFTP, cloud sync) inline for sensitive data patterns, applying block or quarantine actions before data leaves the network perimeter.
Monitors and enforces data movement policies on endpoints, blocking or logging USB transfers, clipboard operations, print jobs, and screen captures of content matching classification policies.
Discovers and enforces data policies for content stored in or transiting through cloud applications and storage, extending DLP coverage to SaaS environments without endpoint agents.
Extracts text from images, scanned PDFs, and screenshots to classify and detect sensitive data that would bypass text-pattern matching.
Applies sensitivity labels to data automatically based on content analysis and context without requiring users to manually classify documents before policy enforcement.
Applies preventative controls automatically such as blocking, encryption, alerting and user justification when sensitive data is detected.
Detects and controls sensitive data entered into generative AI tools, applying block, redact, or warn actions before data leaves the organization.
Integrates with SIEM platforms for incident response.
Correlates user-centric content inspection across multiple channels to detect data loss.
Provides granular incident reporting on data loss events.
Correlates DLP policy violations with user behavioral context, distinguishing routine data movement from anomalous exfiltration patterns associated with insider threat or account compromise.
